Police have arrested an AWOL Muslim soldier plotting another attack on Fort Hood, it was reported today.

Arrested; According to reports, Nasser Abdo has been arrested and found with explosives near Fort Hood
Killeen Police Department have arrested Pvt. Nasser Jason Abdo, 21, near Ft. Hood.
Ft. Hood spokesman Bob Jenkins said Abdo was already being investigated for child pornography before he went AWOL on July 4.
After being detained for acting suspiciously near the base, police say they recovered possible bomb making materials from his hotel room.
FBI spokesman Erik Vasys said today that firearms and 'items that could be identified as bomb-making components, including gunpowder' were removed from Abdo's Killeen motel room.
Mr Vasys says the FBI will charge Abdo with possessing bomb-making components.
Abdo - who was due to be deployed in Afghanistan - had applied for conscientious objector status in August which was initially denied.
But a military review board this spring recommended approval of his request, but Abdo could not be discharged until resolution of the 2010 child pornography case.
A June Article 32 hearing, similar to a grand jury, led to the court-martial recommendation.

Arrest: The three soldiers have been arrested in an alleged plot to attack Fort Hood
There were also mixed reports today two other soldiers were arrested after authorities recovered weapons and explosives.
It is not known if they raised the alarm on the plot.
In September Abdo announced his conscientious objector status, saying his faith and the military didn't mix.
He said: 'As a Muslim, we stand against injustice, we stand against discrimination, and I feel it's my duty as an individual to do this.
'I knew that if I went to Afghanistan and, God forbid, something were to happen, that my faith was so weak that I wouldn't be admitted into heaven.'
Previous: Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 and injured 29 in a gun rampage at a US Army base, Fort Hood, Texas 2009
Abdo's alleged plot follows the November 5, 2009 attack by Major Nidal Hasan.
Hasan, an American Army officer, carried out a shooting on the base in Texas that killed 13 people and wounded 30 others.

Responding to Abdo's objections to serving in Afghanistan, the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) said: 'Muslims serve with distinction throughout the United States Military and AIFD sees Abdo's traitorous public assertions as a slap in the face to all American Muslims especially those Muslims who fight in our armed forces for the liberty and freedom guaranteed by the American Constitution.'
