I Want to Know 'Everything'

Me:  Why?
Being:  What is it you want to know?
Answer:  Everything.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I want to know why, I want to know that; I want to know dis, I want to know dat.  Why does the sun come up everyday?  What makes the rain to rain on the hay?  Why is there night why is there day?  Why is there love, why is there hate?  Why is there early why is there late? How does the brain work?  Why walk a mile?  Why does the moon look down with a smile?  The Great Wall of China; the Temple of Doom; Caracas, Antigua, and arid Khartoum;  High peaks and low valleys, mountains and lakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, great killer quakes; The Great White, Blue Devil, Evil and Good; E.T. and Sasquatch, The Boyz in the Hood; Frenchmen and English, Spanish and Asian, all with their own particular persuasion; Drunkards and sober, sweet wine and beer; Happy and sad; Hearts full of fear; Prayers and utterances; Violence and peace, Givers and takers, Friars and Fiefs; Good hearts, and Black hearts, sadness and grief.

Being:  "It is arrogant, impertinent and presumptious of you to consider these things, as you are not equipped to be 'Lord of the Rings'.

You live and you die.  That's all there is to it.

Leave all the rest to Us with Intuit.

You will find answers when end of your rope, when all are left hanging, with no glimmer of Hope.

You fight Us you mock Us, then despise and despair.

We All can see you are going Nowhere.

When Your Proper Time Cometh--from Dark into Light, You'll have Sages, Sentient Beings on hand for Insight.

Be Silent and Listen.  Learn and Apply.  All that is Here Will Soon Multiply.

A new Dawn approaches, not End of Days; but a new Understanding, as the old is betrayed.

Be of Good Heart, Be of Good Cheer.

You All are very special, Near To Us, Dear.

So Again Let Me Say, Let Me Make It Quite Clear...

Start Embrace One Another; and stop Living in Fear."

Seriously, Though....

I'm glad I made the decision to get rid of Dish T.V.

Now, I don't have nothin against Dish but when my bill kept goin up and my checkbook balance kept goin down, and I kept hearin the same ole same ole, only watch one channel out of 500, well it just made sense to disconnect.  You gotta watch yer pennies.

I didn't know it then but after they disconnected me, i figgered out that them people had had me hog-tied fer quite a while.  it wasn't until after about two months, without havin to listen to all that gall-danged background noise, that i could think clear through to the other end of a thought without gittin side-tracked.

I felt liberated!  i yelled, "i'm free, i'm free!  let someone else make this corsporation rich...it ain't gonna be me no more, no how".

Now I can finally go back to eatin my Pupiklech without anybody botherin me.

Another amazin discovery I made was I could actually make a decision all by myself ( i remember doin that some time ago...) without some durn blonde bobblehead a-slippin a bridle on me and constantly pullin my reins left or right.

The best part.....I can still add....2+2 = 2, so that means my mental neuro-a-logical wirein ain't been hurt.

Seriously though, we got too much mental/background noise we're dealin with day in, day out.  no wonder we be in so much trouble....we're completely farblongjid!

Why I Started This Blog

Being new to "Blogging," I started out not knowing a thing; what subject matter should i focus on? how do i connect with people? i had no real idea of where i wanted this forum to go.
After several years of getting my feet "wet" i now feel my main focus is (hopefully) educating, informing  people on many different issues. Alongside that, i believe the most important thing i am trying to convey is that we all have a common bond. We are here only temporarily, as caretakers of this planet, and we only want what's best for our communities, children and families. I believe in People. If given the resources, they are a wellspring of the purest spring water...full of wonderful ideas and rich beliefs, that will benefit and enrich all of us.  Woven throughout this blog are spiritual musings, occasional rants, (especially when i see what I believe to be blatant wrong-doing) poetry and a deep desire that mankind learn to live together harmoniously with our natural surroundings and with each other. Thus, my belief that, deep down, We Are All One. It is my fervent hope that someday we will all come face to face with this undeniable fact. My intent is not to embarrass, nor discriminate, make fun or harm, in any way.  i am only attempting to provide subject matter on many different topics that i feel are beneficial and helpful in making one think...hopefully allowing for different perspectives and thus bridging gaps across a great divide, empowering and offering hope and comfort. Maybe, in some way, it will encourage those who are addicted/afflicted to find the strength to make those difficult yet positive change(s) they may have been contemplating for some time.

Don't Wait Till It's Too Late

Don't wait to make that date...don't wait to take that break...don't wait to get in shape...don't wait till it's heartbreak...don't wait to light the cake...don't wait till half-past eight...don't wait to admit mistake...don't wait for sweet embrace...don't wait, for heaven sake...

                                                             learn to love and not to hate
                                                           open a door, don't lock a gate

Time seems to pass more quickly as we grow older but curiously it seems that we start slowing down, allowing us time to study things more deeply; we reflect on our lives; study the flutter of a butterfly; lovingly gaze into the eyes; follow the fanciful flight of the dragonfly; watch the swirling clouds and we're mesmerized; the stars they totally tantalize; and our dreams we lovingly fantasize...

Don't wait to act to protect a small child from harm; don't wait to visit the neighbor across the lawn; don't wait to say "i'm sorry"; build up the courage to meet some one "half-way"; go out of your way to "make someone's day"; learn to become color-blind; open the shades at half-past nine; clear the clutter from your mind; learn an act of simple kind.

                                                        for we all belong to one mankind

What Goes Around, Comes Around

To the citizens of the United States of America from Her Sovereign Majesty Queen... Elizabeth II:

In light of your immediate failure to financially manage yourselves and also in recent years your tendency to elect incompetent Presidents of the USA and therefore not able to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. (You should look up 'revocation' in the Oxford English Dictionary.)

Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas , which she does not fancy).

Your new Prime Minister, David Cameron, will appoint a Governor for America without the need for further elections.

Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be circulated sometime next year to determine whether any of you noticed.

To aid in the transition to a British Crown dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect:

1. The letter 'U' will be reinstated in words such as 'colour,' 'favour,' 'labour' and 'neighbour.' Likewise, you will learn to spell 'doughnut' without skipping half the letters, and the suffix '-ize' will be replaced by the suffix '-ise.'Generally, you will be expected to raise your vocabulary to acceptable levels. (look up 'vocabulary').

Using the same twenty-seven words interspersed with filler noises such as ''like' and 'you know' is an unacceptable and inefficient form of communication. There is no such thing as U.S. English. We will let Microsoft know on your behalf. The Microsoft spell-checker will be adjusted to take into account the reinstated letter 'u'' and the elimination of '-ize.' '

3. July 4th will no longer be celebrated as a holiday.

4. You will learn to resolve personal issues without using guns, lawyers, or therapists. The fact that you need so many lawyers and therapists shows that you're not quite ready to be independent. Guns should only be used for shooting grouse. If you can't sort things out without suing someone or speaking to a therapist, then you're not ready to shoot grouse.

5. Therefore, you will no longer be allowed to own or carry anything more dangerous than a vegetable peeler. Although a permit will be required if you wish to carry a vegetable peeler in public.

6. All intersections will be replaced with roundabouts, and you will start driving on the left side with immediate effect. At the same time, you will go metric with immediate effect and without the benefit of conversion tables. Both roundabouts and metrication will help you understand the British sense of humour.

7. The former USA will adopt UK prices on petrol (which you have been calling gasoline) of roughly $10/US gallon. (Get used to it.)

8.You will learn to make real chips. Those things you call French fries are not real chips, and those things you insist on calling potato chips are properly called crisps. Real chips are thick cut, fried in animal fat, and dressed not with catsup but with vinegar.

9. The cold, tasteless stuff you insist on calling beer is not actually beer at all. Henceforth, only proper British Bitter will be referred to as beer, and European brews of known and accepted provenance will be referred to as Lager. New Zealand beer is also acceptable, as New Zealand is pound for pound the greatest sporting nation on earth and it can only be due to the beer. They are also part of the British Commonwealth - see what it did for them. American brands will be referred to as Near-Frozen Gnat's Urine, so that all can be sold without risk of further confusion.

10. Hollywood will be required occasionally to cast English actors as good guys. Hollywood will also be required to cast English actors to play English characters. Watching Andie Macdowell attempt English dialogue in Four Weddings and a Funeral was an experience akin to having one's ears removed with a cheese grater.

11. You will cease playing American football. There are only two kinds of proper football; one you call soccer, and rugby (dominated by the New Zealanders). Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby (which has some similarities to American football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like a bunch of nancies).

12. Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played outside of America . Since only 2.1% of you are aware there is a world beyond your borders, your error is understandable. You will learn cricket, and we will let you face the Australians (World dominators) first to take the sting out of their deliveries.

13. An internal revenue agent (i.e. tax collector) from Her Majesty's Government will be with you shortly to ensure the acquisition of all monies due (backdated to 1776).

14. Daily Tea Time begins promptly at 4 p.m. with proper cups, with saucers, and never mugs, with high quality biscuits (cookies) and cakes; plus strawberries (with cream) when in season.

God Save the Queen!

soule:  I was just thinking about this concept the other day.  Isn't it time we re-think how we live?  Isn't it  time to stop the insanity of rushing here, rushing there?  Isn't it time to reconsider just who and what is really important in our lives?  Isn't it time to consider that we all belong to one big global community?  That your child's well-being is as important as mine?  That what you eat is as important as what I eat?  That we all need warmth and nurturing?  We all need hope and encouragement?

We all have a right to thrive.  We all need a reason to live.  If we cannot thrive, we cannot live.  The two go hand-in-hand.

Global communities, created for the express purpose of empowering man, not enslaving him.  Clean air, clean water, plenty of room to grow both physically and spiritually; good soil to grow fresh fruits and veggies; good grass to raise livestock and poultry.

Sound old-fashioned?  Sound hippy-ish?  Sound too unconventional?

Do you see any government promoting freedom from want, health and happiness for its citizens?  I'd say we're witnessing just the opposite.  The programs the government comes up with sound good but when you get to the fine print, you find you've been had.

Instead, we see governments corralling and controlling.  Squandering OUR money like it's going out of style...well it is.  How long do you think it will be before the dollar is no longer the reserve currency of the world?  Think about it.  Government throttling all classes of people.  Gagging them, handing them a heavy dose of disrespect for just about everything, and drowning them in a bureaucratic nightmare of pyrrhic costs, regulations and paperwork.

We might consider this 'utopian' concept.  It may have much to offer and be the start of something really big.

It's time for real, substantive, healthy change, not just hollow words.  It's time to put into action doable projects that will benefit everyone and make this world a better place for all.

This concept could even catch on and sweep across the planet at such breakneck speed, that it could leave us all with that once in a lifetime good, good feeling that something really transcendent had taken place.

(I just hope Al Gore doesn't get wind of it--because if he does...there definitely goes the neighborhood...)

Take a Stand for 'Something'

Define the Human Race:
An uncategorized collection of library books, on all types of subject matter.
All have been checked out, but none have been returned.
Some are strewn haphazardly on heavy, old, cumbersome, long wooden tables that sit silently in rooms with tall ceilings.  Heavy dark purple brocade valances frame dusty paned windows.
Some are piled high on floors and others teeter one on top of the other in darkened corners.
Some are missing;
Some are lost forever;
Some are torn and tattered;
Some are worn;
Some are shredded;
Some are faded;
Some are smudged;
Some are dog eared;
Some are missing covers and pages;
Some are hopelessly smeared;
Some are severely stained;

The time-worn Librarian is desperately trying to identify them all and sort them in their rightful places.    She is this tiny, little old lady, all bent over, frizzled gray hair piled into a bun on the top of her head.  Her glasses keep sliding down her nose.  They are wide brimmed and the blackest of black.  When she doesn't have her head buried in a book, she'll look up and examine you from head to toe.  Her face is a soft blur but her eyes are penetrating.  Your little world stops when she is focused on you.  Her fingers, even though badly gnarled from arthritis are very adept at picking up a fragile piece and laying it down, gently.

Every so often a title catches her eye and she finds herself letting go, immersed in a story of long, long ago.

She remembers when she was just a little girl and how different the world seems now.  Why just the other day, she was reading about children starving in North Korea.  The reason given was that the farmers couldn't plant their crops because of torrential flooding.  Therefore there would be a shortage of grain to feed the people.  She looked at the pictures of very young orphans whose limbs looked like tooth picks and others who were suffering from sores and worse.   She noticed that none of the children were smiling.  "How can you smile when you are slowly starving to death", she thought.  "And, there must not be many smiles at all in North Korea where a madman is in control".

She wondered, "from whence does their help come"?  She strained to hear an answer but all she could hear was silence.

She continued..."On the other side of the world we have Africans who continue to suffer horribly at the hands of monsters in the Sudan and elsewhere, hacking off limbs, machine gunning any and all who get in their way, and coping with plagues and drought."

She wondered, "from whence does their help come"?  Again - silence.

We have certain groups bent on killing, maiming and torturing men women and children in a  neighbouring country all because they don't believe this small country has the right to exist.

She wondered, "from whence does their help come"?  Again - silence.

We have other groups who are solely focused on annihilating any and all those who dare believe in something other than Islam.

She wondered, "from whence does their help come"?  Again - silence.

We have organizations who believe that taking innocent life is justified because of a mother's right to choose.  She quietly asked herself, "and what about the unborn's right to choose"?

She wondered, "from whence does their help come"?  Again - silence.

Slowly she turned and continued to gather up the many books that surrounded her.  She handled them with such reverence and care as they had become her best friends.  And she had learned much from them.

She was, what we call, a Senior Citizen, a Seasoned Citizen, one who was nearing her time.  Oh she could still remember those quiet walks in the park, shimmery, summer days and long cold winters.  Then there were those dark days known as World War I and World War II.  She remembered her father and uncle's retelling of the horrors they encountered as millions gathered at the gates of hell, had their tickets punched and were whisked through to the other side.  Her mind skipped back to sips of wine and Valentines.  A trip to France, her love of dance.  Upon reflection, she had lived a full life, complete with its ups and downs.  Sometimes more down then up.  What is life without those things?  And in the end, she knew she would do it all over again.  From her many experiences she had so much to offer to the younger generation.
----
soule:  It is a tragedy that we do not turn to the old for guidance.  Their eyes twinkle when we touch upon a subject that is dear to their hearts.  They may stutter and have difficulty trying to remember, but if we sit quietly and listen patiently, we will hear some wonderful stories.  The old are storehouses of wisdom, fond rememberances and loving memories.

We instead turn them out, like chattel.  We discard them from our homes into nursing homes and/or other institutions and out of our lives as we just can't be bothered to give back to them the time they so richly gave to us.

We lie and blurt out that we just don't have the time.  Isn't it a simple act of loving kindness to find the time?  What a human tragedy.

The world is in desperate need of Enlightenment...Visionaries...Wise Beings--Teachers of Wisdom,  Knowledge and Truth.

Ever since we humans first appeared on this Planet we have been progressing, ever so slowly, along a learning curve.

We think we're making progress but our grade is still a D-.

Even though we had the 'Age of Enlightenment', the 'Industial Revolution' and now, the 'Technological Age', in my opinion, we haven't progressed that far.  In fact, we are falling behind.  We can certainly do alot with our fingers but our minds and hearts are begging for solutions.

The lessons we need to learn are there, if we take the time for a moment of reflection.

But we just keep saying, "I don't have time."

You can see how we are losing this epochal battle for our place in the universe:

On civility--you see it in the obscenities we shout at one another.

On behaviour--someone with an axe to grind can just walk up to someone in a Walmart Store, grab a bottle of bleach and Pine Sol, and turn their out of control anger into instant harm and mayhem.  Never mind the consequences.  Never mind other people nearby.  Never mind, never mind, never mind.

You can see it in a trash can full of dismembered, battered bodies of little ones who spent nine months getting here and then, in the last moment were bludgeoned to death and denied entrance.

Did anyone stop to think of the contributions these little ones could have made to humanity?  Maybe a cure for Cancer?  Maybe another Einstein?  Maybe a new way to heat and light our homes?  Maybe the answer we are all waiting for...a permanent end to war?

Now is the time to take account of who we are and where we are headed.  For if we do not, someone or something else will surely fill the vacuum we create.  (Physics 101)

Now is time to make a stand and take a stand against any and all things that get in the way of our planetary ascension.

Let the vibrations begin.    (they already have and are increasing...)

For Those who perceive this message, I know who You are.  You are the Ones we need.  I implore You, I beseech You, I am begging You, please come forward and help us take a good look at who we really are, as our collective reflection stares hauntingly back at us through Your crystal celestial lens piece.

When we are allowed to see our true nature, painfully reflecting back at us, we will learn how we have been deceived.  This will be our first step toward heightened enlightenment and the true transformation of our species.

We are a beautiful element of creation.  Even though misguided and stumbling along the Path, deep within us lies the capacity for healing and harmony and beauty.  Yet our banal (unnatural) nature clouds this innermost yearning.

Now is time for all of us to take stock, reach for and stand in the Light.

soule:  This is just, simply one of the most intuitive articles I've read on "autism".  It ranks right up there with the best.   Cudos to the author who has clearly done her homework and has provided an invaluable educational service for all of us.

Time Will Tell

You've got to hand it to America.  What a testament as to her resiliency.  After long struggles with black/white issues, the birth of the Civil Rights Movement, ugly and violent behaviour, angry outbursts, murders and riots...whom did we elect?

Millions of Americans, both black and white went to the polls, together, in 2008 and voted into office the first Black President.  It's really sad we keep pointing to a person's race whether they be in politics or in private life.  Race doesn't matter.  But I believe that substance and character do.  No matter what the circumstance, political or otherwise.

Countries are like rubber bands.  They expand and contract.  They rise and fall, they go forward and backwards.  They are, sometimes, stretched to their limits.  But they are constantly in a state of evolution, and the direction of that evolution determined by the people who occupy the country's land mass.

Hopefully the people are focused on encouraging the country toward evolving for the betterment of everyone, not just a select few.

It is interesting to fathom just why a politican thinks this way or that.  What drives them toward this agenda or that?  How did their background of experiences, friends, companions, relatives, teachers and education play  a role?

In the end it is what the people want.  But an uninformed group can quickly check a country's growth; seriously undermine its health and impede any progress toward anything meaningful.

There is a sinister, ideological war being waged.  It's been going on for years.  Just below the surface, it has rarely dared raise its ugly head lest it be found out and dealt a death blow.

But some of us have gotten a whiff of it and we're holding our noses.

Are we more enlightened?  Are we more aware or 'aware less'?  Are we more caring?  Are we more receptive?  Are we more astute?  Are we more savvy?

Did we wise up or just become more resolute?

The outcome of the next Presidential Election will tell the tale.

Belching Up Rascism, Again

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/30/cornell_belcher_cains_brainwashed_remark_was_a_racist_bigoted_statement.html
---
soule:  Mr. Belcher:  When are we going to stop self-destructing?  We have kids hooked on drugs; kids who can't read, can't write; street gangs and now flash mobs; people have lost their homes, their jobs, their savings, their dignity.  When are we going to work together, no matter what our color, to solve the problems that really matter?  I am sick and tired of hearing the 'race' card being used to further someone's agenda, assuage a long-ago grievance/wrong, or just give someone an excuse to gain media attention.  We all have so much to give to make this country a better place.  And you would be one of them.  Can we please get past the past and move on?  Let us seek solutions and not continue to drag up the wrongs that the majority of us know were wrong.  We have graduated.  My family has been here for generations.  I am sure that if I investigated, I would find that many of my people were unjustly and unfairly treated.  We need to come together as a people, as a nation.  Stop the in-fighting, bickering and name-calling because there is a higher calling beckoning us--G-d.  If we continue to let the past weigh us down, we will surely drown.  The important thing is we can learn from the Past but the Past is just that...passed.  We live in the present.  And it is just that, a present for us to open up each and every day.
