What Was That "Whooshing" Sound? Why It Was Just the President, Silly....

Has anyone picked up on this? Doesn't it seem odd for a President, who has a solid history of ignoring the minority party, at every opportunity, from even attempting to get to first base to present their solutions to this country's woes? Lambasting them time after time, and then, in an about face, that would make even the most strident Marine proud, decide that now is the time to reach out to them? It's really a good idea, Mr. President as anytime you can engage more problem-solving individuals together, the more discussions will lead to new ideas and solutions. And seeing that you and your administration have scr.....well, we'll just let that one go. The speed - whoosh! with which you made it to Baltimore to meet with those "wascily" Republicans was truly astonishing. I thought Superman was dead. Just what prompted you to act so quickly and make the effort to embrace your Republican brethren now? Could it possibly have anything to do with the outcome of the Massachusetts Senate race that blew everyone away? I think so. And, I believe that this will not be the only race turning Washington on its head. In fact I can pretty much guarantee it so treat your new relationship with courtesy and kindness. Because you're gonna need em more than they're gonna need you. I think the real reason, you decided to meet so quickly with them is this....you now realize, maybe even fear, that you are losing power and control. Maybe you are finally seeing the handwriting on the wall. Well, one can only hope. Maybe, just maybe, Barack Hussein Obama is now learning something about the country he was elected to lead, not by the nose, but by the hand, together. Something of deep, intrinsic value, some "thing" that is deeply rooted in this country's history and in its founding. A country where the people have the power and the people have the control. And when they see somethin that needs fixin, they take it to the polls. Mr. President, you're on the right path. But let's hope you're not playin us for the fools you once thought we were (still are?) again.

The Specters Speak

Gaunt and haggard trees, a dismal landscape...I thought, "This is all a big mistake." Burnt-up skies, and here and there, I thought I spied a hidden lair.

When I started out across this land, I felt my heart throb in my hand. I sensed at once the deep price paid, and the depth of sacrifice made. The incomprehensible sense of loss. The hurtful, unimaginable cost.

Slowly, my eyes were drawn down, toward the ground.   Dark colors were welling up, under my boot. The deepest of reds, issuing up from the depths and up from the roots.

As I slowly looked around, I strained my ears and wondered what it was I heard..."Were those voices"?

Out of the white droplets of mist ghostly images formed, just a short distance away.  There were faces of different colors...mahogany, yellow, brown and white, but they weren't here to fuss or fight. They were here to set things right.

It was so very hard to see. They were forming together quite quickly.  They called themselves "The Brothers All".

A gnarly hand thrust through the mist, an invite tucked inside its fist. He stared at me until I took it  and, with much trepidation, opened it up.

It read, "You have been invited to our Sacred Hall". I had no choice in the matter at all.

I was quickly grasped by a hand and whisked away.

When I arrived, I found myself inside an immense, cavernous room. Almost at once, we heard the  eerie sounds of long lost souls echoing through this chamber of woe.  Their voices slowly ebbed away into nothingness.  We watched a single snowflake noiselessly making its last graceful descent to the ground.  And there it lay.  Until it melted quite away.

The specters formed a circle and spoke:  "The time has come, for all Mankind, to retreat from its insatiable mission of conquest, as the hour is upon them.

The final edition of God's Creation Masterpiece is at Mankind's doorstep. Our Last Will and Testament lacks only His signature. If Mankind does not turn back now, seeking His laws and forgiveness for all the wrongs we've committed, we will have run out of time.

The thin fabric that separates this earthly realm from God's reality will soon part and be swept away for all time.  This hour is fast approaching.  Those of us on earth will face the ultimate of all spiritual realities. The magnitude of this will be revealed to all and the time to make things right will have come and gone.

The Day of Judgment is upon us.  We still have time to turn things around. God is caring and compassionate.  He continues to allow us opportunities to fix things but time is running out.

The hour hand on the universal time piece is fast approaching midnight.

WE ARE ALL ONE no matter our faith.

For the Lord God Has Made Us All.

The Perpetual Running Wheel

We're like mice on a running wheel. We keep running and running, and as long as we keep running, the wheel never stops. Therefore, we never slow down long enough to give anything much thought. When you view the world and look at it from the perspective of it being "home" to billions of different races of people and other life forms, you really have to ask, .."how could all of this have come about?" "How did this possibly happen?" The more we investigate and explore, the more we send complex telescopes and probes into the unknown, searching for answers, wouldn't it be truly amazing if we could just step back, and take the time to view the lovely tapestry hanging on the museum wall? A miracle planet called Earth - our home? A planet that happens to be at just the right mathematical angle, spinning at just the right mathematical speed, at just the right distance from a star, thereby providing mankind just the right amount of sunlight to warm us, grow our crops. And what a myriad of life this planet has and continues to sustain. When it first started out, "a G-d thought" (I liken it to a baby encased in a womb) it was undergoing all the information, growth and transformation needed in order to reach the point where it was ready to give birth. Picture G-d, if you will, let's say He has all the knowing lines of wisdom etched across His face, with the long and flowing gray beard. We "see" Him as he hovers above "baby earth," grasping a giant ribboned scroll in His hand. There is such delight written all over His face. We know something fantastic, a wonderment of such magnificent proportions is about to take place, is about to play out across the Cosmos....He's getting ready for some "thing", as He starts to slowly unravel the scroll. The light contained within momentarily blinds us. Maybe we we were not meant to see? The light show is brilliant, dazzling, like a hundred million diamonds under a spotlight. At first glance we are so blinded we cannot see. But as our eyes are allowed to slowly focus, we can finally view a map, a Physicist's dream come true. G-d has allowed us a peek into His Universe, His Creation, His roadmap. This map, with untold myriads of lines and equations, crisscrossing from one end to the other, staggering numbers and hieroglyphs, fill a scroll that has no end. An angelic choir trumpets in the background as G-d surveys His newest creation. Tears fill His eyes. He is like a father holding His first newborn...and, like a new father, He has so many plans, so many hopes and dreams for this small creation. Just in the instance it takes one to breathe in, everything is Right with the Cosmos, everything is Perfection with the Cosmos, everything is at Peace with the Cosmos. Let us keep this picture in our thoughts, in our hearts, and in our minds. For there is still time to reverse the course we are on.

This Sums It Up

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,
It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:
The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775.
You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
Social Security was established in 1935.
You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.
Fannie Mae was established in 1938.
You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
War on Poverty started in 1964.
You have had 45 years to get it right;
$1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and
transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965.
You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
Freddie Mac was established in 1970.
You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen
our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to
16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year
and we import more oil than ever before.
You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.
You have FAILED in every "government service" you have
shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars
AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN
BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

America - Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, or Was It Just A Trial Run?

By: Kitty Werthmann (An Austrian who witnessed what took place under Hitler)

What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or read in history books.
I am an eyewitness to history. I can tell you that Hitler did not take Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote. I’ve never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.
In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.
The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.
We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Hitler Targets Education–Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school.. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang “Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,” and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

"Equal Rights Hits Home:"
In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna .. After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.
We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

“Mercy Killing” Redefined:
In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

The Final Steps - Gun Laws:
Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly; it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn’t; paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.
“It’s true….those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity. America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don’t Let Freedom Slip Away.

When I Get To Heaven

G-d, when I get to Heaven would you answer a few questions for me? My Mom passed away on October 1, 2009, at exactly 12:53 p.m. I know, as I was with her when she left this earth. She was 87 plus years old. My husband and I received a call from the nursing home that morning, "your Mom is waiting for you, you need to come as soon as possible." We hurriedly packed up a few things and took off. I was praying all the way, not knowing what to expect. A few tears but through them all, I knew that I had to be there for Mom. I had to be strong for her as she needed me more than I needed her. I asked G-d to give me the strength to do whatever was required of me. When we got to the nursing home I didn't know what to expect. They had a separate bed all made up for us, in case we needed to spend the night. I settled right in with Mom, making myself at home, sitting on her bed and grasping a hold of her hand. Her eyes weren't focusing right, she wasn't talking and she appeared to "not be all there" but I started in talking to her. I chatted about her childhood, her family, the three daughters she basically had to raise all by herself, all the fun we had picking blueberries, and catching soft-shelled crabs. I sang hymns, read to her and sang one song that I hadn't heard in a long time....Kumbayah. I have no idea why this old 1930's spiritual popped into my head but it just appeared out of nowhere so I went with it. It was comforting to me and I believe comforting to my mother. Even though Mom never said a word during all of this, I "knew" she heard every word I said. My husband had just left a few minutes earlier for some lunch for the two of us. He was gone but only twenty minutes when I started to read the Twenty-Third Psalm and Mom passed. Her passing was so sudden that I was completely taken by surprise. I had expected to be with her, through the night and possibly into the next day. Why didn't she spend more time with me? Hadn't she called me to be with her? And now, in just a few short minutes, she was gone. Can you forgive me for saying that I was a little angry? Here I came all that way to be with her, help her "cross over" and by golly, she did. I was successful. She was gone. But she left me without a whimper. Not even a goodbye. I was the one left saying, "goodbye Mom, I will miss you." And from her, nothing. My question to you L-rd is, "why do You create us just so we are here on this earth a short time and then you take us away?" "Why did you create the giant behemoths, the Magnificent Dinosaurs, that roamed the earth 65 million years ago and then, poof! they all disappeared in the blink of an eye"? "Will I be able to see them in all their glory after I'm gone?" "Why the flood that wiped out a myriad of races whose DNA has been lost forever"? "Why, why, why? Will you tell me?" "Why do you allow the powerful to slaughter the weak?" "Why do you allow the ruthless to continue to savagely attack their peaceful neighbors?" "Why, why, why?" "Why do you allow babies to be aborted?" "Why, why, why?" "Why did you allow the Holocaust?" "Why, why, why?" "Why did you allow Pol Pot to murder millions of Cambodians?" Why, why, why?" "Why do you allow wars?" "Why, G-d, why?" "Will you tell me?"
--------
Right now, I have been sitting alongside a dying calf in my barn. We have been nursing her for 8 weeks. We have done everything for her. Many would have just kicked her out into the cold and let the coyotes take their choice cut. We don't. Do you folks realize that animals feel loss? That they grieve for their young? Not exactly the same way we do but they do have feelings and they do feel pain. Their lives mean something (are important) as they were created by the same Creator who created us. They respond to comforting words and gentle hands. Therefore we give them the respect and the care they deserve. Maybe, after I am gone and in my new home, G-d will provide the answers I am earnestly seeking. I look forward to having a dialogue with Him.

Making Sense Out of "Non" Sense

The more I view the world we live in, the more I see things continue to spiral out of control--things I just plain have no control over. Our World Leaders seem to be as much in the dark as the rest of us and like a needle stuck in the groove of a bad record, unable and obviously impotent to stop what's happening. Whether it be a rogue nation bent on building nuclear power plants, ultimately to use against their neighbor, or a dictator tightening the noose on the people under his watch. So, I've come to the conclusion that no matter what bad stuff happens, what really matters most is what mattered most all along--G-d, home, family, children, grandchildren, friends. And even though I can't possibly change all the bad stuff I see going on around me, I can do little things that will make a difference in a positive way. G-d hasn't left the planet because of what's happening, He is very much with us and always will be. In the meantime He still wants us to be kind to one another, give of ourselves, and be grateful for what we do have, not for what we don't have. In humbling ourselves before Him and doing acts of kindness and charity, we ultimately will be the ones who end up changing the world, albeit little by little. Not our "World Leaders" who don't have a clue. We can make a difference, one person at a time, doing one act of kindness and/or charity. So far there's no law that says we can't start right now. And this time it will be the "little guy" that gets the prize for turning things around. Not the big guys with the swelled heads and gigantic egos.

Obama Gives Interpol Unprecedented Liberties to Control Americans

http://www.canadafreepress.com
By Jerry McConnell Friday, January 1, 2010
It is the first day of the calendar year 2010; the year in which true Americans hope to rid our country from the scourge of traitorous and anti-American behavior so prevalent in the Congress and Administration. But few people have heard about a potential act of infamy by Barack Obama when he signed an Executive Order on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 amending already existing Executive Order 12425 “in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words “except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act” and the semicolon that immediately precedes them.” This seemingly innocuous action done in typical Obama Administration to prevent overt transparency, in other words, ‘keep it quiet and under cover’ should be getting blasted by every conservative politician and journalist in our country. I did not expect the Mainstream Media to publish information on it as they are part of the transparency “cover up” enjoyed by our government; but I did expect screams of rage from high ranking minority party officials and other news organs than MSM. Canada Free Press has had a couple of articles giving the ghastly details of this action that in effect will “allow an international police authority to overrule the US government” as CFP columnist Barry Napier mentioned in his piece on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. But, WHERE IS THE CONSERVATIVE OUTRAGE? The Washington Examiner editorial on December 30, 2009 stated “No presidential statement or White House press briefing was held on it. In fact, all that can be found about it on the official White House Web site is the Dec. 17 announcement and one-paragraph text of President Obama’s Executive Order 12425, with this innocuous headline: ‘Amending Executive Order 12425 Designating Interpol as a public international organization entitled to enjoy certain privileges, exemptions, and immunities.’ “ I realize that Congress is in another one of their numerous “vacation” periods; but are all the conservatives asleep or just not caring? I would hope that I am overly concerned and that one of them at least will be in the news today blasting this utter deceitful and dangerous presidential action. If not, then I guess we can forget about any timely or effective actions to be taken to clean house in Washington in November.
