The United States Constitution - "Separation of Powers - Preventing Tyranny"

Separation of powers is the central structural feature of the United States Constitution. The division of power among the three branches—legislative, executive, and judicial—is necessitated because human beings are imperfect. The imperfection of human nature means that well-structured government is necessary, though not sufficient, to prevent tyranny.
The United States Constitution is structurally designed in part to prevent tyranny. Separation of powers is the means by which power is divided and its accumulation in the hands of any single entity denied.
During the 1780s, most states had constitutions that formally divided the government’s power, yet in practice the legislatures dominated. The state constitutions required separation of powers in theory, but failed to deliver it in reality. As a result, the constitutions were little more than what Publius called “parchment barriers.”
In order for separation of powers to work, each branch of government must have the “constitutional means” to resist the encroachment of the other branches. This is what today we call “checks and balances.”
In addition to institutional checks and balances, there exist also the “personal motives” of people that will lead them to resist the encroachment of the other branches. Human nature is constant across the ages, according to Publius, and human beings are naturally ambitious. Instead of ignoring or attempting to suppress ambition, the Framers sought to channel it through the Constitution, so that it might serve the cause of liberty and justice rather than threaten it.
The Framers understood that human nature has noble characteristics that are essential to self-government, but also that it contains baser features, for which government must account. The Constitution’s structural separation of powers recognizes this truth, and in preventing tyranny makes self-government possible.

Defining Tyranny - James Madison, Federalist No. 47:

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judicial, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."

Justice for Trayvon Martin?

Man Beaten By Mob, In Critical Condition

Saturday, April 21, 2012

I see a "perfect storm" coming together in which President Obama is going to use any and all means at his disposal to avoid becoming just another statistic in the political dung heap of Presidential Politics.

And, I believe we're in for some very nasty months in which the current office holder's plan is to take direct aim at the heart and convictions of the Republican nominee.  He or she needs to understand this and be able to withstand this onslaught without losing sight of their message to the American people.

Voter fraud, intimidation, slurs, downright lies, innuendos, name-calling are just the tip of the iceberg waiting in the shadows.  Maybe other things are in the works, like say, riots, and what about some type of war?

This President has presided over:  A housing meltdown, in which most of the mortgages in this country (how convenient--Wells Fargo) are now controlled and owned by the federal government; record bank failures; the Solyndra scandal; "Fast and Furious", in which a United States Border Patrol agent was murdered using guns the DOJ eagerly supplied to Mexican drug cartels; a whopping 70% more people filing for food stamps in which the federal government will become an even bigger enabler (and who do you think they're going to vote for?);  gas and fuel prices out of sight, and the Secret Service resorting to the lowest of lows...willing to compromise their duties and their honor.  What a pile of cluster f***s and an enormous embarrassment not only to concerned Americans but to our image, abroad.

And Obama can't seem to control himself when it comes to taking vacations.  Many people in this country can hardly afford their mortgage payment let alone a vacation.

JOBS:  No jobs, no jobs, no jobs.  This is just mind-boggling that we have an individual who can't figure out that one way to get the economy rolling again is to create jobs.  Instead he continues to look the other way as the economy and the misery index of the American people keeps getting more worrisome.

Could it be that Obama "got his" and "he just don't care about you?"

I have never seen so many scandals under one administration, in my lifetime.

Could it be that the fruit doesn't fall very far from the tree?

Are these just accidents, happenstance, or were they done on purpose as diversionary tactics to cloak a 'stealth' agenda?

Who do you believe is hurt more by rising gas/fuel prices--the poor?  Don't they have a safety net (something to fall back on) like free cell phones, free medical (emergency rooms) and free food (cheese, etc.) (compliments of the USDA)?

How many of these folks have jobs where they are required to drive back and forth to work?

And this economy is most definitely not hurting politicians.

Could those hurt the most by this administration possibly be middle class Americans, small businesses, our transportation industry, farmers?

This administration is deliberately targeting those who have sacrificed, worked hard and played by the rules.  Just who do you think is the glue that keeps this country together?

And what would you strike at first if you were trying to defeat an "enemy?" - Answer:  Why their underbelly, of course.

Chaos, obstructionism and impediment is all I see coming from this administration.

Then we have the Trayvon Martin case where Obama, once again, injected himself with provocative comments which only stoked the burning embers in the hearts of those who only needed an excuse to go into overdrive, thus energizing the raging, radical element in this country who hungrily seized the opportunity to crucify and try Mr. Zimmerman without even taking the time to let the facts sort themselves out--kinda like Nancy Pelosi saying "before we can understand a 2700 page bill we must first pass it."  This woman is just plain nuts--remember Obamacare?

Where, are we as a country, headed?  We need to take stock and we need to do it now.

And, are we willing to let the few take over the many?

Are we willing to compromise away our livelihoods, continue to stand idly by and watch this administration shred the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?  Continue to see a hostile government takeover of our health care, leaving in its wake rationing, overseen by a bunch of unelected bureaucrats determining who can live and who is to die"?

We still have control over our destinies.  Let's take this country back and exercise our G-d given right to vote a tyrant out of office, in November.

This November might just be the last chance we have to turn things around, if an event doesn't derail  our right to vote--Can anyone spell C-R-I-S-I-S?

Dershowitz Blasts Zimmerman Prosecution: 'Not Only Immoral, But Stupid'

I Am a Daughter of the Revolution

I am a Daughter of the Revolution.  My blood has stained the ground.  In this cherished land my boots have trod.  In this cherished land my fears have gnawed- but I've thrown them off with a guffaw.  With musket, powder, cloak and dagger, I am unlike polities swagger, for I am honour-bound.  The trees, my cover, the babbling brook, awaits the line I bait with hook.  For up ahead opposition lies.  And I am one and they are five.  Covert and silent, I know the drill, as I creep across the silent hill.  I push aside locks grazing brow and grasp my musket more firmly now.  My heart is steady as stealthily, I approach the enemy.  Blood, sweat and loss is all I've known.  For father, mother, children gone.  And country on verge of collapse.  I cannot bare hear dirge of  Taps.  What drives me is it courage, duty?  Or is it liberty's proclivity?  We must accomplish task at hand--restoration of this great land.  All else is worthless if freedom lost unless resolved at any cost.

Our Celestial Neighbor

Yesterday afternoon, as I watched the sun going down, I was struck by its color.  It was somehow different from colors I've seen before.

I can only describe its color as a fluorescent orange.  Not bright but soft.  Do you remember the orange cremesicles you used to buy from the ice cream man?

It was spectacular to watch its descent, silently cloaking itself in a layer of clouds and then reappearing, its long tentacles of light rays fanning out across the sky.

I was so struck by its color I pulled over to the side of the road and watched this glorious display.

Spectacular Chinese UFO Event

soule:  this is a follow up to the post on 4/1/12 on same subject
----------------------------
Event Time:  3/28/12
Event Duration:  50 minutes
City:  Urumqi
State/Province:  Xinjiangc
Country:  China
Witnesses: 2
Shape of Craft:   Formation
Number of Craft seen:  5

Full Sighting Description:
Several guests had just left the apartment and I walked into a bedroom and glanced out the window into the night sky.  Immediately, I noticed several, strange, colorful objects in a formation in the Eastern sky and informed my friend of it and to watch this too.  Each of the five individual objects emitted, random colored displays of blinking lights, red, violet, blue, green and yellow as each object maintained an ascending, staggered, stair-step “Staircase-like” ariel formation of one object after another.   Each object seemingly appeared to be disc-like in shape, but each was tilted at a 45 degree angle and each pretty equally spaced apart within the formation as they appeared to remain stationary in the night sky.  What I also noticed at the same angle of ascension to this formation, higher-up in the sky there appeared to be a single solid red light that seemingly hovered there.  I looked above and around the red light to determine if there was any associated structure but could not see anything but the suspended red light.  During the first 15 minutes of this events observation it became apparent these five objects were slowly descending, one-by-one while maintaining their angle and group formation.  The red light above did not descend with the other objects and maintained its position as the objects continued to descend far behind a high-rise building in the distance from where our Eastern facing apartment is located.  One by one the objects disappeared behind the building in the foreground and seemingly into the mountains in the distance.  As the last object descended, out of view the red light moved off into the distance into the mountains maintaining a level departure before it suddenly performed some quick and erratic maneuvers, during the last few seconds of observation in the distance and disappeared from view in the mountains.
During this sighting we tried several times to take pictures and record the event onto digital devices including a Blackberry, iPhone and an Nikon digital camera, but the objects could not be seen in the view finders.  I used my thumb at arm’s length to evaluate the size of each “disc-like” object in the formation and established that each object was about ½ of one thumb nail in size from my distance to the objects.  I estimate the objects were at least 4-5 kilometers away from our location and the objects when they were first noticed were all high above the height of the 30-story building they all eventually descended behind in the distance, 50 minutes later.  To the East of our location in the background is the Tianshan mountain range that stretches around the city of Urumqi to the East is easily visible during the day from this location, so it’s likely from our observation point to be the region where these objects descended into.

Do You See What I See?

I can taste it, I can feel it, I can sense it.  Whenever I'm having a bad day, whenever I stare out the window and look across the lawn at a dismal landscape, I have to remind myself that it's only a temporary view.

There is another reality out there, beyond the physical, beyond the material, beyond what my senses are perceiving.

This other reality pokes at me, flirts with me, teases me.  I can hear giggling and little ones surrounding me...looking up at me, as if to say, "don't you see us?"

I try and tread lightly when talking with those who do not understand.

I feel blessed that I am able to feel these things, perceive these things that are so far, far away...yet, are they really?  For they are within my cognitive grasp.

Maybe it's a form of RV (Remote Viewing).  I don't know.  All I know is what I feel and what I can see without using my eyes but relying on that part of me (that's in all of us) and lies at the core of our being.

I can hear the giggling now as I sit at my computer.

The voices are full of happiness and no cares...freedom from all fear.

These little beings are a source of joy to me and I hope they decide to stick around for awhile.

I guess some of you could say I'm quite mad as I'm hearing voices.  You're obviously entitled to your opinion.

So be it.

The Man Who Cared

History of the United States Supreme Court

2008: Just a Foreshadowing of Things to Come

When I think back to when I was born and I must admit that was quite a few years ago, the events I am witnessing today are mind-boggling.

Abortion on demand; drug lords; gangs; murder and mayhem not only in big cities but happening on school campuses; looting and pillaging; severe disrespect for laws, parents, teachers and others.  Have I missed anything?

When I grew up we respected our parents, the leaders of our community, our country.  We supported our military and were keenly aware of the sacrifices they made.  When someone gave their word, that's all you needed.  When you owed money, you paid it back.  Charities and churches were "our" welfare and they maintained civility and contributed to healthy communities.

What I am seeing now is a total breakdown in structure; in the fabric that keeps a country together.

We have this group pointing fingers at that group; we have criminal behaviour not only in our streets but in our government.  We have welfare that isn't doing anyone any good other than blackmailing them with dollars, ensuring they are kept underfoot so this group or that one can use them as a leverage to gain more traction.

We have a President who has made it quite clear that he is not about Hope and Change but something more sinister...who, with precision timing, continues to ratchet up the notch of dissension, discontent, doubt and fear.

How is it that we have arrived at this point, in history, so unlike the country I once knew?

We are reminded again and again by those who have gone before, that if a citizenry is not mindful of its   duties to the country it inhabits, nor tends to them, that that country will eventually fail and go the way of all others that slacked off.

That if groups of people will not integrate into a society, because they refuse to, adopt the precepts and standards befitting for all, that that country will fail.

Why is it that the Japanese, the Chileans and others, when confronted with what appears to be an almost insurmountable tragedy, band together as one unit to confront the problem and solve it?    There is no looting, no shouting, only working together to fix the problem.

Here, in America, you have groups mobilizing and inciting, others spitting in the face of the country they now call home (witness the chanting of USA at a basketball game just recently in which a certain group took offense as chanting USA was deemed to be rascist).

If we keep going at this rate, I give the country 5 more years and that's it, unless we have strong leaders leap to the challenge of righting this ship, not sinking her.

What happens if one does not place a solid bit in a horse's mouth and a firm grip on the reins?  Ans:  The horse will have a tendency to bolt.

This is where we are now.  A situation in which I believe, if left unchecked, will surely consummate our demise.

I don't want to see that.  I am calling on all good and able-bodied men and women, all Americans, to rally 'round the flag and stop the madness that we are all witnessing every day.

For if we do not, it won't be just a country we have lost, but a way of life.

HURT: Brutal week for Obama, the worst of his presidency - Washington Times

Our Own Arrogance Will Be Our Undoing

Ever notice when you go through a painful experience that when it's over, you are very, very thankful?  You just want to distance yourself from the experience as fast as you can?  You are happy you can just move on?

But after a while the experience dims and becomes just "another" memory.  You start to feel your ole self again.

You start kickin up your heels and laughin at the world.   You are fast forgetting that Life just taught you a bitter lesson, and you learned wise ways (hopefully) to avoid another one.  These are things that should never be forgotten.  But then you start acting silly again, maybe a little more feckless.

You don't know it yet but you are fast closing the circle.  That painful circle you just left behind.  Remember looking at it in your rear view mirror, as you sped away, in a cloud of dust?

Again, you are fast approaching another  point where you are needlessly exposing yourself to another painful experience.  Maybe a repeat of the last one and all because maybe you really haven't learned your lesson.

The Lesson is this...remember to give thanks to the Universal Authority that you emerged relatively unscathed from your experience.  That you gained a glimmer of knowledge as to how you got into this mess and how not to repeat it again.  Even though it was painful and distasteful, possibly quite long, you learned that by controlling your own behaviour, discipline and hard work, and showing reverence for something higher than yourself is extremely important if you ever want to avoid the experience again.

This means:  Set aside some time every day to give thanks for the blessings you have been granted in this Life, and for wisdom to keep you out of hot water in the future.

We can't do this alone.  And if we think we can, we are fools.  This is where that pesky arrogance comes into play.  Thinking we are the best at what we do; the sun rises and sets only on us, along with not taking the time to recognize and acknowledge that we need help to constantly keep our butts out of trouble.

Spectacular Chinese UFO

You are getting this info before it hits the news media

An acquaintance of mine is in China on business and informed me of a spectacular UFO he just finished watching and then disappeared over the Tian Shan Mountains.

BTW, Tian Shan in Chinese means Celestial Mountains.

He said it had five blinking lights and looked like a ladder (when viewed from earth) with a red beacon at the top.  He said this was incredibly awesome experience.

At this time I'm unsure as to the time he was able to view this thing as he didn't indicate one but I'm sure I will find out.

This event occurred either yesterday, China being 13 hours ahead in time, or on April 1, 2012.
