You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You’re the runner-in-chief. Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the U.S.S. Cole and the First Trade Center Bombing and Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001. John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent a ttribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam .. Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You’ve accused our military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq .. You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam .. You’re a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the Vietnamese. Iraq , like Vietnam , is another war that you were for, before you were against it. John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can’t win militarily in Iraq .. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa . Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military ex pert! Are you sure you didn’t suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You’re a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You’re not a Marine, sir. You wouldn’t amount to a good pimple on a real Marine’s backside. You’re a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John. Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the Communists.&nbs p; Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run.. Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqi’s torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you. If you truly supported our troops, you’d show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there. You’re a bloated, drunken fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington … Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, the Holly wood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam; Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers, that we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers - the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers - cause t o think that we’ll run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours after they have gained both strength and momentum. American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can’t strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer. You are America ’s ‘AXIS OF IDIOTS.’ Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don’t ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam … If you want our Soldiers home as you claim, knock off the crap and try supp orting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies. Yes, I’m questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I’m also questioning why you’re stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don’t deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it. No, Mr. President, you don’t get off the hook, either. Our country has two enemies: Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It’s your obligation to support them by confronting the AXIS OF IDIOTS. America must hear it from you that these self-centered people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger, please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now.

Ragnarok ("Doom of the Gods"), also called Gotterdammerung, means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology. It will be preceded by Fimbulvetr, the winter of winters. Three such winters will follow each other with no summers in between. Conflicts and feuds will break out, even between families, and all morality will disappear. This is the beginning of the end.
The wolf Skoll will finally devour the sun, and his brother Hati will eat the moon, plunging the earth [into] darkness. The stars will vanish from the sky. The cock Fjalar will crow to the giants and the golden cock Gullinkambi will crow to the gods. A third cock will raise the dead.
The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, freeing the terrible wolf Fenrir. The sea will rear up because Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, is twisting and writhing in fury as he makes his way toward the land. With every breath, Jormungand will stain the soil and the sky with his poison. The waves caused by the serpent's emerging will set free the ship Naglfar, and with the giant Hymir as their commander, the giants will sail towards the battlefield. From the realm of the dead a second ship will set sail, and this ship carries the inhabitants of hell, with Loki as their helmsman. The fire giants, led by the giant Surt, will leave Muspell in the south to join against the gods. Surt, carrying a sword that blazes like the sun itself, will scorch the earth.
Meanwhile, Heimdall will sound his horn, calling the sons of Odin and the heroes to the battlefield. From all the corners of the world, gods, giants, dwarves, demons and elves will ride towards the huge plain of Vigrid ("battle shaker") where the last battle will be fought. Odin will engage Fenrir in battle, and Thor will attack Jormungand. Thor will victorious, but the serpent's poison will gradually kill the god of thunder. Surt will seek out the swordless Freyr, who will quickly succumb to the giant. The one-handed Tyr will fight the monstrous hound Garm and they will kill each other. Loki and Heimdall, age-old enemies, will meet for a final time, and neither will survive their encounter. The fight between Odin and Fenrir will rage for a long time, but finally Fenrir will seize Odin and swallow him. Odin's son Vidar will at once leap towards the wolf and kill him with his bare hands, ripping the wolf's jaws apart.
Then Surt will fling fire in every direction. The nine worlds will burn, and friends and foes alike will perish. The earth will sink into the sea.
After the destruction, a new and idyllic world will arise from the sea and will be filled with abundant supplies. Some of the gods will survive, others will be reborn. Wickedness and misery will no longer exist and gods and men will live happily together. The descendants of Lif and Lifthrasir will inhabit this earth.
Ragnarök does not mean "Twilight of the Gods"; that phrase is the result of a famous mistranslation. "Ragnarökr" or "Ragnarøkr" means "doom of the powers" or "destruction of the powers" (where "powers" means "gods").

The True Story of "Freedom" and Jeff

Freedom and I have been together 10 years this summer. She came in as a baby in 1998 with two broken wings. Her left wing doesn't open all the way even after surgery, it was broken in 4 places . She's my baby.

When Freedom came in she could not stand andboth wings were broken. She was emaciated and covered in lice. We made the decision to give her a chance at life, so I took her to the vets office. From then on, I was always around her. We had her in a huge dog carrier with the top off, and it was loaded up with shredded newspaper for her to lay in. I used to sit and talk to her, urging her to live, to fight; and she would lay there looking at me with those big brown eyes. We also had to tube feed her for weeks.

This went on for 4-6 weeks, and by then she still couldn't stand. It got to the point where the decision was made to euthanize her if she couldn't stand in a week. You know you don't want to cross that line between torture and rehab, and it looked like death was winning. She was going to be put down that Friday, and I was supposed to come in on that Thursday afternoon I didn't want to go to the center that Thursday, because I couldn't bear the thought of her being euthanized; but I went anyway, and when I walked in everyone was grinning from ear to ear. I went immediately back to her cage; and there she was, standing on her own, a big beautiful eagle. She was ready to live. I was just about in tears by then. That was a very good day.

We knew she could never fly, so the director asked me to glove train her. I got her used to the glove, and then to jesses, and we started doing education programs for schools in western Washington . We wound up in the newspapers, radio (believe it or not) and some TV. Miracle Pets even did a show about us.

In the spring of 2000, I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. I had stage 3, which is not good (one major organ plus everywhere), so I wound up doing 8 months of chemo. Lost the hair - the whole bit. I missed a lot of work. When I felt good enough, I would go to Sarvey and take Freedom out for walks. Freedom would also come to me in my dreams and help me fight the cancer. This happened time and time again.

Fast forward to November 2000, the day after Thanksgiving, I went in for my last checkup. I was told that if the cancer was not all gone after 8 rounds of chemo, then my last option was a stem cell transplant. Anyway, they did the tests; and I had to come back Monday for the results. I went in Monday, and I was told that all the cancer was gone.

So the first thing I did was get up to Sarvey and take the big girl out for a walk. It was misty and cold. I went to her flight and jessed her up, and we went out front to the top of the hill. I hadn't said a word to Freedom, but somehow she knew. She looked at me and wrapped both her wings around me to where I could feel them pressing in on my back (I was engulfed in eagle wings), and she touched my nose with her beak and stared into my eyes, and we just stood there like that for I don't know how long. That was a magic moment. We have been soul mates ever since she came in. This is a very special bird.

On a side note:
I have had people who were sick come up to us when we are out, and Freedom has some kind of hold on them. I once had a guy who was terminal come up to us and I let him hold her. His knees just about buckled and he swore he could feel her power course through his body. I have so many stories like that.

I never forget the honor I have of being so close to such a magnificent spirit as Freedom's.

The "Real" Story

You know, there is so much "doom and gloom" out there. Everywhere I turn, everything I read....the Dow is tanking, unemployment at an all-time high, people losing their jobs and homes, volcanoes going off, earthquakes, crazy weather-- 80 degree weather one day, next day it's 30 degrees (what??); one blizzard after another and then to top off the suffering - torrential flooding.

Families being torn apart, lives being destroyed by terrible acts of violence--"was it the economy and the guy just lost his job, or was it because he was another 'nut' case living on the fringe for years and went over the edge because of a personal problem or? because....(fill in the blanks). And if so, why didn't we see it? Were there any clues? Did we choose to ignore this person as we were just too busy with our own lives?

The bottom line is we're all in this mess together. Maybe we should start reaching out to one another as hard as that may be for some of us, maybe all of us.

But, I have to tell you, there's something more to what we see going on.

We hear the term "End of Days"--the Christian term for the finality to it all and Jesus Christ returning. But there's something else that may be of interest and it's much older than the Christian version. In fact, the Hebrews thought of it first and then the Christians liked the story so much they decided they would borrow it.

It's about the "Final Redemption," which we are now in and the "End of Exile" for the Jewish nation. It is about King Moshiach (the Jewish Messiah) returning to earth, heralding in G-d's arrival. We are just in the first "birth pangs" of this "Final Redemption".

All that we are witnessing--the unprecedented, historic global financial meltdown, natural disasters, the uncertainty, angst, anger, frustration, confusion, chaos and fear people are experiencing as to where we are going and just how we are going to end up.

It is not the end of things, but only the beginning. It is not desolation but transformation from one rule (man's) to G-d's rule.

G'd didn't write down just how this would occur but he did give us a "blueprint."

He didn't say whether this "transformation" from the old to the new would be easy or difficult. I think the jury is still out on that one but I dare say if you polled the American people, most of them would vote for the adjective "painful" to describe what is happening.

This certainty and belief in King Moshiach is the only thing keeping me going. For this indescribable upheaval, kingdoms-(nations, financial institutions)-falling, kings going down-(Chairman of GM; Bernie Madoff to name a few) and global events in general is a just G-d peeling the skin off the onion.

The CONCEALED being REVEALED.

When you are constantly bombarded day and night with depressing news it's difficult to keep reminding yourself that there are still many, many good folks out there who never make it to Hollywood.

They just keep doing their works of faith, it could be giving the downtrodden, homeless, helpless, a place to call "home" and nourishment. Or maybe a husband staying home with the kids or vice versa while the wife works to keep a roof over their heads. Couples working two, sometimes three jobs to keep going and still "PAYING THEIR 'FAIR' SHARE OF TAXES." Stranger helping stranger; neighbor helping neighbor; acts of charity and acts of heroism.

Too bad Congress doesn't act like this. They could learn a lesson.

We're in a battle. Like it or not it is the battle between good and evil. Oh, how "trite" that sounds. Laugh if you want. It makes no difference to me for I believe it to be true.

We are all here for a reason. To make this world a better place for all. To make this world we live in habitable for G-d who chooses to live down here among his creation, and not in some lofty heavenly angelic sphere.

So, every time we see someone fall...pick them up, offer a hug instead of a slap, take the time to really listen to someone instead of "tuning out" because of other things on your mind. "Oh, my gosh, I only have a few minutes to get to the bank, what will I have for dinner", etc.

Give to charity. We have so much to be grateful for, let's give a little back.

We have so many things pulling at us. It's like one of those globes with the electricity inside that is constantly giving off static charges.

We need to stop the input and focus on the output.

A New Order Rises

A new order is rising.

After failing to return to profitability—as ALG News predicted they would—GM and Chrysler have been “granted” 60 and 30 days respectively to present “acceptable” plans. GM Chairman, Rick Wagoner, has been forced out as a condition to receive more federal bailout money, and Chrysler has 30 days to complete a merger with Italian automaker, Fiat.

ALG News warned these companies about accepting bailout money—that this was not an innocent favor by a benevolent government trying to “help”—that it would come with strings attached. Now, they know.

But it's too late. Such is the state of the American auto “industry.” These are no longer companies. These are now de facto agencies of the federal government.

This is a new order not just for the American economy—but for the nation's entire system of government. The executive branch is taking upon itself seemingly limitless powers to push around those who took Federal Reserve loans or TARP companies, firms, and insurers.

Stringent terms and conditions are now being applied to the dispersal of these funds. They are called “taxpayer protections.” They are anything but. They are carte blanche to continue the bailouts, increase the troubled firms' dependency on government funds, and to further regulate them.

Therefore, the bailouts only serve to increase the taxpayers' burden, not decrease it. How does this work?

By perpetuating the economic emergency, President Obama is now ensuring that investors will want no part of troubled firms, or the bailouts—a double-edge sword. The only way the bailout firms will now be able to remain funded for the foreseeable future now will be through government-backing. Meanwhile, Ford is increasing its market share, as ALG News has previously reported.

The President's actions Monday and the Treasury Secretary's move last week to request authority to seize TARP-recipient firms now crystallize the intentions of the Administration to both market and government observers. This is war.

The President is engaged in a chess match against the markets. And he is at present winning. Why?

Because, in one short year, the government has moved so quickly to take over the financial system, and now in extension all investments, pensions, funds, and everything else that presently needs to be back-stopped by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, the Treasury, and Congress.

It overtook Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac over the summer completely—thus ensuring that the government owns most every mortgage in the country.

It has signed up to buy every single mortgage-backed security out there, creating a limitless line on the budget without much thought as to its final, bottom line, as the bailouts pile up and spiral out of control, and the taxpayer is left on the hook to wither and dry.

All of which is a dramatic departure from constitutional limited government.

There now are no limits, and the Federal Constitution is but mere paper. Even the fiat currency the government prints with abandon now carries more value at the moment to the elected and unelected officials giving it away seemingly for free but in reality at the costly price of leverage upon the bailout's recipients.

The reason for this rapid succession to tyranny in such a short period is because there now is no effective defense of the Constitution and its limits being waged. There is a weak opposition on Capitol Hill, and a fervent and yet powerless conservative movement on the airwaves and embodied in dedicated organizations in and near the capital and around the nation.

Once these industries—whether they be the mortgage, financial, and now automakers—are subsidized by federal dollars, officials, whether they be Congressmen, the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, or the President, arbitrarily apply so-called taxpayer “protections” while simultaneously perpetuating the need for taxpayer assistance.

This new order is decidedly fascist, and it will rapidly proceed to being outright socialist. First, the monster will subsidize, then it will take ownership, and then it will destroy the American economy.

And if men who love liberty do not act quickly, it will be the end of limited government as we know it.
