Economic Tyranny

Whether or not you voted for the President I think it's becoming painfully clear that his economic policies are either being drafted out of pure ignorance or they are creating more confusion and chaos, thus furthering to undermine an already fragile economy.

It just does not make sense to keep pumping more and more money into the economy when we can clearly see that "bailouts" are not working. It's like giving Johnny more and more and more because, well, "he's our kid, we just can't let him fail. Let's just keep "bailing him out of jail."

Well, failure is sometimes the answer to growing up. Growing up is healthy if one is to survive whether it be a kid or a bank or an insurance company.

The trouble is we now have a Congress completely out of control, passing laws granting bonuses to financial firms then going back on their agreement, publicly ridiculing CEOs, making them scapegoats because Congress didn't want anyone shining the light on the fact that they passed the Stimulus Bill without reading it in the first place, violating the Constitution, and putting people's lives at risk, to name a few.

The administration has not levelled with the American people as to what its plans are for an "economic recovery" but it is pretty apparent to me that an "economic apocalypse" is taking place, on their watch.

I'd say that this is not by accident but by design.

Americans voted for change but pretty soon that is all that will be left jingling in our pockets.

We still have a country. We still have our freedoms. We still have a Constitution but for how long?
